about Distributions

We generate new distributions with new functionality, resolutions to secuity issues and fixes to bugs as frequently as we can. Not all new distros are compatible with old ones, so we will be careful to annotate when this is the case. Also included is a Change Log so we can all keep track of things.

Distribution Naming Convention:

We've adopted a standard naming convention for distributions:

swap-x.x.xx.va.tgz
Where x.x.xx designates the Pebble Linux kernal rev on which the distribution is based, and "a" designates our version number. So for example:
swap-2.4.26.v1.tgz
is a swap distro based on the 2.4.26 kernal and it's our distro version 1.
